As one of the most urban tribes in the United States, the Puyallup Tribe is committed to being a good neighbor. Consistently one of the top 10 employers in Pierce County, it fights to protect the environment and the community. The PTOI's economic development projects create jobs. Additionally, the PTOI donates millions of dollars each year to charitable organizations through its Charity Trust Board and through donations made directly by the Puyallup Tribal Council.
The Tribe's media manager wanted to grow the number of people who visted the Administration's website and the subscribed to the e-newsletter.
I was asked to design a set of eye-catching graphics that would be an engaging and fun way to advertise the Puyallup Tribe’s Administration newsletter. The goal was to let people know what type of information they would receive through the newsletter, and to inspire them to sign-up to receive it.

Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop
Concept creation, design planning, design work, creation of motion graphics and web-graphics
The design planning began with with research to see what other companies were doing to grab attention through motion graphics and digital ads. After researching a few design ideas, I sketched out my plan and presented it, along with a few examples of pre-existing designs, to the marketing manager. Upon approval, I began designing the graphic using Photoshop and Illustrator.
The finished layered Illustrator artwork was imported into After Effects, were I add motion to each layer. I then exported the artwork as a .mp4, and also later a .gif using Photoshop.
